How many sessions are required? The Pre-marital Counseling is 8 sessions. All other counseling areas vary from 6-12 sessions. After the initial assessment, Dr. Nioka will give a recommendation on how often you should come. However, you can choose to come every 2 weeks, every 3 weeks, once a month, etc.
For marriage counseling, how long has Dr. Nioka been married? Nineteen (19) years.
What is Dr. Nioka’s background? A former high school teacher; currently a licensed educator; a degree in communication, a degree in education, and a degree in counseling; over 10 years experience in the field of advising, mentoring, coaching, and counseling.
What kind of counseling does Dr. Nioka provide? Dr. Nioka Smith Counseling uses a combination of Psychology and Christian Counseling which is why her counseling is so effective. Dr. Nioka has a Doctoral degree in counseling and a doctoral degree in experience. She has gone through and overcome the majority of what many of our clients have experienced.
